Missing traditional breakfast potatoes on keto? Radishes make a surprisingly good substitute. As they cook, their sharp, peppery bite mellows, leaving a tender center and golden-brown edges.
This skillet hash is a simple way to enjoy that familiar breakfast-potato experience without the potatoes. Serve it alongside eggs for breakfast or as a side dish with dinner.

Do radishes really taste like potatoes when cooked?
Not exactly, but they’re a surprisingly good low-carb substitute. Cooking mellows their peppery bite, giving them a tender texture that works especially well in skillet hashes.
Do I need to peel the radishes?
No. Just wash them, trim the ends, and dice them. The skins are perfectly edible and don’t need to be removed.
Can I make this radish hash ahead of time?
Yes. You can prepare it ahead and refrigerate it in a covered container. Reheat in a skillet to help restore some of the browned edges. The bacon may lose some crispness during storage.
